WHAT DOES ZOPICLONE DOES?
Zopiclone is drug belonging to a class of medications called as sedative hypnotics, used in treating short-term and symptomatic relief of sleep disorders in a person. It helps thus in falling asleep and causing relaxation of mind. However, high risk of addiction runs with the drug and thus not more than 7-10 consecutive days of intake is recommended.
HOW SHOULD I USE THIS MEDICATION?
With a usual starting dose at 3.75 mg, the drug should be taken before bedtime to help with difficulty in sleeping. The adult recommended dosage is 3.75 mg to 7.5 mg, at a maximum of 5 mg for seniors, people with liver or kidney function disorder, or with other medications. Typically not recommended or prescribed for more than 7 to 10 days in a row.
